On April 1, 2020 the Families First Coronavirus Response Act ("FFCRA") went into effect, providing unprecedented paid leave for employees of companies with less than 500 employees. Since that time, the Department of Labor has been continually issuing guidance and temporary regulations related to the FFCRA and employer obligations.
Additionally, the EEOC and CDC have provided guidance for employers concerning what is permissible and recommended during the COVID-19 pandemic.
